The aluminum carabiner has hard baked paint and an anodized clip so it will not rust or tarnish. The carabiner compass is 1 1/16 inch (2.7 cm) in diameter, 1 3/16 inch (3 cm) wide, 2 3/4 inches (6.9 cm) long, 3/8 inch (1 cm) thick, and weighs only 1 ounce (29 grams). The shackle of the carabiner is 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) in diameter. Note that this carabiner is not to be used for rock climbing or for supporting any weight.
